Safety Guidelines
Moonglow pearled candles are among the safest options available, provided you follow a few essential safety precautions. They are inherently safer than traditional candles due to their self-extinguishing properties.
Pro Tip:
Always ensure that the wick is kept at least 2" away from the sides and bottom of the container. This ensures a safe and efficient burn and prevents the wick from coming into contact with the container walls.
In an unlikely event that the candle is left burning unattended, it will self-extinguish once the wick burns out, without posing a risk of overheating the container. Additionally, the pearls will self-extinguish if the candle is accidentally tipped over.
Additional Safety Tips:
● Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets, as the pearls are not edible and the candle burns with real fire.
● Always light your candles on stable, fire-safe surfaces, and ensure they are placed away from flammable materials.

How to use
1. Use a Fireproof Container:
When selecting a container for your Moonglow candle pearls, ensure it is fireproof and spacious enough to accommodate the melt pool. We recommend a container that is at least 4" wide. Suitable options include repurposed candle jars, ceramic or concrete cups, glass vases, or any cylindrical container. The possibilities are endless.
2. Maintain 1/4" of Wick Above the Surface:
Before lighting your candle, make sure approximately 1/4" of the wick is visible above the surface of the pearls. Ensure there is at least 2" of space around the wick, including the bottom, to prevent the melt pool from reaching the edges of the container. For larger containers, consider using multiple wicks, or trim the wick in smaller containers for optimal burning.
3. Light Your Pearled Candle:
Once your candle is properly set up in a fireproof container with the wick adjusted, you’re ready to light it. Moonglow candles are environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and compostable, making them a more sustainable option compared to many traditional candles.
4. Refreshing Your Candle:
Refreshing your Moonglow candle is simple and hassle-free. After extinguishing the flame, allow the wax to cool for about ten minutes. Remove the solidified wax, often referred to as the "wax pancake," replenish the pearls if necessary, and insert a new wick. Your candle will be ready to burn again. Alternatively, you can continue using the same wick until it burns out. To minimize waste, break the hardened wax into smaller pieces, mix it with fresh pearls, add a new wick, and relight.
