FAQ

1. Are pearl candles safe?

Yes, our pearled candles are safe when used as directed. They feature a self-extinguishing design: if spilled, the pearls naturally snuff out the flame, and if left burning too long, the wick falls over and the candle “drowns” in the melt pool, reducing fire risk.

2. Are they pet-friendly?

Absolutely. Our candles are made from plant-based, non-toxic materials, and the fragrances are crafted with a mild to medium strength to ensure they are gentle on your pet’s sensitive noses.

3. What are the benefits of granulated (pearled) candles?

Pearled candles offer numerous benefits: they burn cleaner, are biodegradable and compostable, and contain no harmful chemicals like parabens. Their self- extinguishing feature makes them safer than traditional candles, and they create a warm, inviting ambiance for any space.

4. What are the ingredients?

Our pearled candles are made from plant-based, vegan, and non-toxic materials that burn cleanly without producing soot. They are derived from sustainably sourced plants and do not contain paraffin or any known allergens. The wicks are crafted from 100% cotton, ensuring a clean and eco-friendly burn. Additionally, our fragrances are free from harmful chemicals.

5. What’s the burn time?

The burn time of a pearled candle can vary depending on usage factors, such as the number of wicks used, burn duration, and how often the candle is refreshed.

6. How long will the pearled candle last?

The lifespan of a pearled candle depends on how you use it. For example, if you regularly refresh the wick or use multiple wicks, it will affect the total burn time. On average, an unscented 450g Moonglow Candle provides approximately 75 to 80 hours of burn time. Each 2-inch wick burns for about 10-12 hours approx., and every 200g candle comes with 12 wicks, while the 450g kit includes 18 wicks, and the bulk bag contains 50+ wicks.

Scented candles burn time will vary because according to science fragrance oil acts as an additional fuel source for the blame, hence the burn time will be lesser than the unscented ones.

So, 450 gm scented candle burn time will be 50 hours approx. 200 gm scented candles burn time is 22 -24 hours approx.

7. How can I extinguish a pearled candle?

Our candles naturally self-extinguish when the wick is fully burnt, and the flame is extinguished as the wick is immersed in the liquid wax pool. Alternatively, you can use a flame snuffer, a wick dipper, or gently blow the flame out. Rest assured, the pearls won’t fly out if you blow gently.

8. My wick extinguishes quickly, what am I doing wrong?

If your wick isn’t burning for the full 10 hours, it’s likely because the wick tip is extended too far out of the pearls. When inserting the wick, aim for only about a quarter-inch tip to be visible. A longer wick will shorten the burn time.

9. Can I use these candles for floating?

Yes, our white pearls float on water, while the colored pearls are not suitable for floating candles. For best results, pour at least a 2-inch height of white pearls on top of water and ensure the wick doesn't touch the water. You can add decorations to a vase, fill it with water to submerge the decor, and then pour the pearls on top.

10. Can I reuse the candle pearls after using them as floating candles?

Yes, you can! Simply scoop out the pearls using a spoon or strainer, then allow them to air dry on paper towels. Spread them out for faster drying, and you can reuse them as needed.

11. Are the candles scented?

We offer both scented and unscented options. You can explore all available scents and their descriptions in the product images and on the product pages.

12. How strong are the scents?

Our pearled candles are crafted to offer a mild to medium fragrance, perfect for creating an inviting atmosphere without being overpowering. If you’re looking for a very strong scent, MoonGlow candles may not be the right choice.

13. Can I add my own scent?

While you can add your own fragrance, we strongly advise caution. If you choose to do so, select one of our unscented candles and add a few drops of your preferred essential oil or fragrance oil near the wick before lighting.

Note: Oils are highly flammable and should never be added to a burning candle. Always proceed with care, as some oils may perform better than others.

Any modifications, including adding scents or colors, are done at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any issues arising from such alterations.
